Did you know: Up to 80% of the food on your table relies on fluffy little pollinators. Since about only 10% of all the crops and fruits get directly eaten by humans - the rest is for feeding lifestock, fuel, producing constuction material etc. - the current droughts mean it has a direct effect on your plate.
Besides drastically shrinking pollinator numbers over the last 20 years. As someone who knows ALL THREE ways to create a diet - I WAS two times for 4.5 years vegetarian, I WAS 4.5 years vegan and NOW back on beeing a flexitarian but reducing my own meat eating a bit since, well I gained pretty much weight extra - more than a dozen kilograms - by returning to meat: There will be some need to change the diets. For anyone. But don´t worry, we also live in cool times with VERY cool plantbased variations. Like replacing meat here and there with delicious alternatives such as products from mushrooms. Or protein rich lentils (60% LESS WATER NEEDS compared to our traditional crops) - India even promotes them to their farmers since they got hit much earlier than Europe by droughts and given their population size much heavier by the changing weather patterns.
Btw. Lentils are also good for the female body with many many COOL health benefits compared to say wheat (we all know someone with a gluten allergy who won´t touch that cake or delicious crisp slice of bread) from their water needs to allergies and even positive effects on the body itself. You can do a lot to keep our food system stable - even if you keep eating meat - even if you love that steak - well you heard the news: There is not even enough food for cows rightnow.
A bit more about lentils in our food system here on the GOOD FOOD page of the BBC (I´m happy to have the legendary BBC THE FOOD PROGRAMME that once even interviewed Sir Paul Mc Cartney, among my followers) - you find lots and lots of information on the internet about lentils - as a I kid I only knew that lentilsoup with some meat and vinegar but today there are THOUSANDS of yummy spicy receipts for any occasion out there:

And if you´d like to try one day less meat for a day a week - well Sir Paul Mc Cartney & friends have something for you:
Meat free mondays https://meatfreemondays.com (external website) - he started it. Many years ago I tried the same - just one day without meat, then one more. For office workers this has another benefit: Most vegetarian lunches won´t make you that tired as a meaty lunch so you can clearly perform better:

Well, you can at least start supporting pollinators. Even in the massive droughts rightnow (you all have seen the images of empty water reservoirs and dry rivers) - since along the foodchain sooner or later this ALSO helps your local farmers.
... More of this little flying busy pollinating fella - lets call it the glitter of a bee ;) and some more flying little acrobats on my VIDEO PAGE here on this website.
